Lucy Pearman Counselling

Counselling for adults and parent carers in East Sussex

Welcome. I’m Lucy, a qualified and BACP-registered counsellor, offering a warm, non-judgemental space where you can explore what’s going on for you at your own pace.

I specialise in Walk and Talk Therapy, offering counselling sessions outdoors in a peaceful woodland setting just outside Lewes as well as other locations across Sussex. This way of working can feel more natural and less intense than sitting in a counselling room, allowing space to think, talk, and breathe while gently moving in nature.

Walk and Talk Therapy can be especially supportive for parents and carers, offering time and space away from daily responsibilities and a chance to focus on yourself — something that can be hard to prioritise when you are caring for others.

A space to talk, reflect, and breathe

Life can feel demanding and emotionally heavy at times. You may be carrying anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, trauma, or the ongoing pressures of everyday life. You don’t need to have a clear “reason” for coming to counselling, sometimes it’s enough to know that something doesn’t feel quite right.

My aim is to offer a space where you feel listened to, accepted, and supported to make sense of your experiences in a way that feels right for you.

How I can support you

I offer counselling in a flexible way, adapting to what you need and how you feel most comfortable working:

  • Walk and Talk Therapy
Counselling sessions held outdoors, walking at a gentle pace in a beautiful natural setting. Many people find this feels grounding, freeing, and less intense than sitting in a room.
  • Face-to-face counselling
Sessions in a calm counselling room in a converted barn just outside Lewes.
  • Online counselling
Flexible support from your own home.

You can read more about each option on the How I Work page.

Working with parent carers

I have a particular interest in supporting parent carers of children with complex needs. Bringing personal experience as a carer, and professional experience working with carers, I understand the unique emotional pressures, responsibilities, and resilience that this role can involve.

This is just one part of my practice, and I also work with adults from all backgrounds and circumstances.

Taking the next step

If you’re considering counselling and would like to know more, you’re very welcome to get in touch. There’s no pressure to commit — we can simply have a conversation about what you’re looking for and whether working together feels like a good fit.
